Bringing joy to children in foster care.

Every holiday season, Our Grateful Response (OGR) partners with a local therapeutic foster care agency to ensure each child receives a personalized gift, chosen just for them from their wishlist. Since we began, we have worked with the same dedicated agency, but our dream is to extend this impact by partnering with more agencies in our area, reaching and blessing even more children.

This Year’s Goal:

Help Us “Fill Santa’s Bag”
For 2024, we invite you to help us Fill Santa’s Bag with love, joy, and holiday surprises. Our goal is to raise $3,500, which will allow us to make sure that every child receives special items from their wishlist and their own personalized bag. You can help us reach this goal by making a monetary donation or by shopping directly from the Amazon wishlist we will provide once we receive the children’s lists.

Why We Do It:
At OGR, we believe every child is created with purpose and deserves to feel loved, seen, and valued. Our Christmas 4 Kids in Care program is designed to provide these children with gifts that not only meet their needs but also remind them that they are important and cherished.

Thank you for joining us in helping to bring joy and hope to children in foster care this holiday season.

  • Personalized Gifts: We work with the agency to get every child something off their wishlist, often fulfilling the entire list.

  • Unique, Personalized Bags: Since many children enter foster care with their belongings in a trash bag, we provide personalized bags to give them something special they can call their own. Each year with us, they receive a new item:

    • Year 1: Personalized duffle bag

    • Year 2: Personalized toiletry bag

    • Year 3: Personalized crossbody bag

    • Year 4: Clear backpack

Ways to Contribute:

  • Donate – Your financial contribution allows us to fulfill wishlists and cover personalized bags.

  • Shop from the Wishlist – Once the children's lists are compiled, we'll post a special Amazon link, letting you shop for specific items requested by the kids.

Once all the gifts are gathered from our Fill Santa’s Bag fundraiser, we’d love to have you join us to wrap, make cards, and share in the Christmas spirit!

Enjoy an evening of holiday cheer, hot cocoa, and gift wrapping as we prepare each gift with care for the children. This is also a time to celebrate and thank our generous donors who have helped make this all possible! Whether you’re wrapping gifts, making cards, or simply joining in for the festivities, your presence means a lot.

  • 100% of the donations made to our Christmas for Kids in Care program are used to purchase gifts and personalized bags for the children. Your support directly impacts each child's holiday experience.

  • We invite all our donors to our “That’s a Wrap!” party to see firsthand the impact of their generosity. It’s a wonderful way to connect and celebrate together!

  • Absolutely! Whether or not you’ve donated, we’d love for you to join us. The party is open to anyone who wants to wrap gifts, make cards, or just enjoy a festive evening with our community.
